sir what is the purpose of SF6 in HT breaker and what is the pressure should be maintain in the b..

Answer / shaji samuel

Insulation property of SF6 gas is 2 to 3 times of the air &
it is a electro negative gas. On arcing it absorbs the
electron in the medium & immediately quenchs the arc.

SF6 gas pressure is 4 to 5.5 Kg.

You need not to worry about the pressure as there is a
pressure switch in SF6 breaker which need to be interlocked
safety indication

So that once the SF6 gas pressure reduces it gives you an
indication Also take care that once pressure reduces do not
trip the breaker
