1- in table fan stator is fix and rotor moving
2- in celling fan stator moving and rotor are fixed

It is fully depends upon Newton's Third law which states moving in opposite direction of motors it cause the ceiling fan rotats anticlockwise while table fan in clockwise and its also depends on motor of fans which r fixed....Thanks

Ceilig fans circulate hot air from fireplace upwards in
clockwise rotation during winter and the opposite in summer
for cooling, with reversing switch.In India they are for
cooling only ,hence only anti -clockwise rotation.By
reshaping blades/paddles, they can made clockwise.
