in case of induction motor when overload condition or any
short ckt. why stator winding burn not to be rotor winding

Answer / vasudeva rao
because in induction motor stator only carrys the supply
current but not a rotor. rotoronly carries the mechanical
load. that is why if any fault occurs in supply system
stator winding gets damaged not rotor

Why we are not placing c.B 's btwn generator and transformer.? what happens when generator gets disconnected from transformer when it is running @ full load?
we can conformed the vector group of the transformer. How?
What current flows in the transformer primary when its secondary is open?
Pl.brief me about Electrical power distribution system from Main generating station to Industry. What is the use of in between station.
In both 600/1000 V cable and 450/750 V cable, we can supply 415 V. However for distribution, all utilities are using only 600/100 V instead of 450/750 V. What is the reason?
could an induction motor be used for regenerative braking in electric-train control? in this type of application would some scheme have to be devised to obtain low synchronous speeds while braking? would induction-motor drive, therefore, be suitable for passenger service?
How to conduct a Hipot test on a 11KV cable?
what is the problem when i want to close a circuit breaker by local position it closes well.but when i close it in remote position it trips
why induction motor speed is decress with increase in load? how synchronous motor speed is constant?
1. Why is the speed of shunt motor practically constant? 2. Why dc series motor use to start with heavy loads? 3. advantages & disadvantages of separately excited generator over self excited generator?
why transformer ratings are in kva
i heard that power factor(PF) is the main concern for industries, if they are maintaining PF around 0.6 they will be fined for that. now the question is, how can they improve the PF ranging between 0.9 to 0.95 which is safe for them i,e escaping from the fine?
