Is it 3-Ph or 1-ph if it is single phase the circuit will
get open because the the current has to have a return path.

If it is three phase star network the circuit will get

if the circuit is 3 ph the load beyond the neutral come across tow line (ie;440 v instead of 230 v) then the low wattage equipments will damage,high wattage equipment can withstand the high volt

Both answers above are true but do not explain why.
With a 3 phase load an artificial star point is created to
replace the neutral. In a perfectly balanced load this will
have no effect.
If the load per phase is unbalanced the where the star
point is created will depend on the load unbalance. the
voltage phase to neutral may increase in one phase and
decrease in the others.
In one instance I have seen this where the voltage in one
phase increased to 300 in a 416/240 volt system.

I did oil BDV test of 1600 KVA trafo 20KV/400V as per IEC 156. Result is 1) 58 KV 2) 58 KV 3)40 KV 4) 50 KV 5) 58 KV 6) 18 KV. Avr is 47 KV. Can we say oil is still ok even in the 6th test BDV is 18 KV ?
