It depends upon which type of motor you are connecting
means if you are connecting synchronous motor in parallel
then P.F.will improve.Instead of this if you connect
induction motor then the system P.F.will be lagging.

in syatem one motor is connected .if a second one of same
pf of earlier motor is connected parallel to the it then pf
will not change try with some simple figures

it depend which type of notor you are connecting . for
example induction motor will operate in lagging power
factor, synchronous phase modilfier with under excited will
operate in lagging and when it is overexcited it will
operate in leading p.f .

1' if the motor is of same pf --no change in pf
2'if second motor has lower pf then pf will lowered
3' if second motor has higher pf --pf will improve now it is
clear that may lower, higher or no change
so correct answer is sometimes it may chamge
