When we compare in terms of power losses DC is best.
Commerical and Human saftey wise AC is best.

DC is the best source of power supply. Because we can store
the DC power in batteries, where as AC cannot be stored.
But for human safety purpose and universality AC has became
most economical way of production and consumption. Also in
case of power losses and harmonics DC holds up wrt to AC.
Generation of AC is quit simple wrt to DC, because
commutator and brushes are required in case of DC
production. AC is consumed as it is produced, ie; use it or
loose it. DC is exemption for this. there are many way by
which DC can be produced with out emitting CO2 to
environment, such as chemically, solar, etc. eventhough
there are some ways to produce AC ecofriendly, but there is
dispute of economy.

Both source are best in own areas
For transmitter and distributors AC is the best, AC motor
is lighter than DC motor;
For traction load, electrolyte, arc lamp, dc is the best

How we can make sure cable size of LT cable without any parameter.
2 Answers Paradip Port, Siemens,
I have draw the 350A DC current, so what is the size of cable i can use? Give me the answer with formula
what is neutral voltage
why we did not mention ryb like byr in 3 phase
In pakistan appliances work on 220v at 50hz and in us appliances work on 110v at 60hz what is basic theory to explain it
which fault current is maximum: 3 phase short circuit, LG, LL or LLG?? why?? in one of the problems that i have solved, 3 phase short circuit current on an unloaded generator came out to be less than the LG fault current. can anybody please explain why.
What does a permanent magnet generator do?
y we use neutral, all r told its used to for closed path..k its a just used to closed path,in a transmission line y we put same conductor used n both phase and neutral..if we use less than phase conductor in neutral mean we ll reduce cost its right r wrong..if we use mean any problem occur in transmission line..
i applied for the ap transco please forward the freqventley asked QA
how to convert 1 phase power to 3phase power by using induction motor. . . .
Given a collection of points P in the plane, a 1-set is a point in P that can be separated from the rest by a line; i.e. the point lies on one side of the line while the others lie on the other side. The number of 1-sets of P is denoted by n1(P). The maximum value of n1(P) over all configurations P of 19 points in the plane is 18
