Hi to all
By using M.C We can measure Moisture Present in our drug
By using LOD we can determine only Class-3 Solvents according ICH Q3C_R5 besides moisture content..
Only Class 3 solvents are likely to be present. Loss on drying is less than 0.5%.

substance. Thus, LOD content is always hIgher than M.C.

Loss on drying measures all weight loss after heating to a specific temperature for a specific time. This value will include moisture as well as any volatile components or solvents that may be present.
