Shrinkage has two types
One is Planned -It means people have informed you prior
that they wont come to office today which you know before &
Second is unplanned- means simple people with sudden leave
Lets assume
Tean Total =20
Planned Leave is 2
Unplanned Leave is 4
Planned Formula is =2/20=0.1
Unplanned Formula is =4/20=0.2
Total :0.3 if you put percentage you will get 30% for the
day
Both add together will be the shrinkage = 30%
--------------------------------
Attrition means
People who resigned from the Concern, Abscond without
informing the reporting or terminated from the company.
Formula : No of Atrride/(Opening hedcount of the month + Closing hedcount
of the month)/2*100
Lets assume
Opening : 20
Closing : 16
=4/(20+16)/2*100 = 5.55% is attrition
I hope its very clear.

Shinkage means absentism.
No. of persons not turned to the shift but rostered/No. of persons rostered for the shift X 100
Attrition: Loosing any employee in any way resign or abscond is known as attrition , we calculate it in 3 way.
1st: MTD Attrition ((No. of attrition/Average headcount (Opening & Closing)*(365/No. of passed days in month))
2nd: YTD Attrition ((No. of attrition/Average headcount (Opening & Closing)*(365/No. of passed days in year))
3rd: Rolling Attrition ((No. of attrition/Average headcount (Opening & Closing)*(365/365))

Hi,
Someone, please confirm how to calculate below data points with below figures. Thanks
I'll assume Attrition to be part of unplanned absence since the agent was scheduled but has attrited mid-week.
1) Unplanned absence.
2) Planned absence.
3) Total absence.
Total HC - 20
Planned Leave - 3
Unplanned Leave - 2
Attrition - 1
OFF - 4
Thanks

Shrinkage means apsentisim and leave taken by agents.
There is two type of shrinkage, on is planned and another is unplanned.
Planned-No of leave taken by agents from team HC
Formulae-No of leave/Total team HC*100
Ex-4(No of leave)/20(Team HC)*100=20%
Unplanned-No of apsent against total team HC
Formulae-No of apsent/Total team HC*100
Ex-2(No of apsent)/20(Team HC)*100=10%
Shrinakge-Planned+Unplanned
i,e-20%+10%=30%
Attrition-Agent who are left the job.
Formulae-No of attrition/(Opening HC+Closing HC)/2*100
Ex-Total HC-20, No of Attrition-1
1/(20(OHC)+19(CHC)/2*100=1.28%
