one conductor length is L.and i am strech uniformly this
conductor and made length is 2L.so resistance of this
strech conductor is R=4R..but i want to know about area of
stech conductor hows it become a/2..

one conductor length is L.and i am strech uniformly this conductor and made length is 2L.so resist..

Answer / Bimalesh Kumar Singh

The cross-sectional area (A) of the stretched conductor is reduced by half when its length is doubled while keeping the volume constant. This can be derived from the formula for the volume V = AL, where L is the length and A is the cross-sectional area. When the length L becomes 2L, the new volume (V') should still be equal to the original volume (V). So, we have AV' = AV => A * 2L = A * L => A = A/2
