why is the vector group analysis done in transformer tests..

Answer / jagdish krushnarao zeliye

vector group of transformer is used to know the phase angle
for parallelling operation

Is This Answer Correct ?    13 Yes 5 No

why is the vector group analysis done in transformer tests..

Answer / saba anjum

vector group are made to know at what position the secondary
winding of transformer we get star and delta voltages . and
it indicates the type of winding in primary and secondary
which helps in parallel operation of transformer with
different ratings having same vector group .

Is This Answer Correct ?    13 Yes 7 No

why is the vector group analysis done in transformer tests..

Answer / purav solanki.

for the parallel operation of two transformer.

Is This Answer Correct ?    13 Yes 8 No

why is the vector group analysis done in transformer tests..

Answer / usama badran ali

vector group analysis used for two important things?
1-it describes the charcteristic of transformers...how?
1-primary and secondary connections.
2-low and high voltage sides.
3-leading angle between high and low voltages.
2-to connect two parallel transformer, you should know the
line to line voltages of two transformer (i mean each
similar line voltages of the parallel transformers ).
3-in the modern technolgy of power electronics in three
phase inverters i can eleminate fixed order of harmonics by
changing the transformer connection .

Is This Answer Correct ?    6 Yes 1 No

why is the vector group analysis done in transformer tests..

TO Check the phase displacement between HV winding and Lv
winding

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 0 No

why is the vector group analysis done in transformer tests..

Answer / ramama

for parallel operation of two different rating transformers

Is This Answer Correct ?    4 Yes 1 No

why is the vector group analysis done in transformer tests..

Answer / ganesh nayak

Vector anlysis is done to check whether the transformer
under test is suitable for parallel operation with another
transfomer having same vector group and voltage ratio but
difference in KVA rating. And to know the phase displacment
and polarity of the transformer.

Is This Answer Correct ?    2 Yes 1 No
