To check the phase angle displacement between two
windings of a manufactured traformer and to check whether
internal winding connection is matching to the vector group
as mentioned in the name plate .

winding of transformer we get star and delta voltages . and
it indicates the type of winding in primary and secondary
which helps in parallel operation of transformer with
different ratings having same vector group .

vector group analysis used for two important things?
1-it describes the charcteristic of transformers...how?
1-primary and secondary connections.
2-low and high voltage sides.
3-leading angle between high and low voltages.
2-to connect two parallel transformer, you should know the
line to line voltages of two transformer (i mean each
similar line voltages of the parallel transformers ).
3-in the modern technolgy of power electronics in three
phase inverters i can eleminate fixed order of harmonics by
changing the transformer connection .

Vector anlysis is done to check whether the transformer
under test is suitable for parallel operation with another
transfomer having same vector group and voltage ratio but
difference in KVA rating.And to know the phase displacment
and polarity of the transformer.
