What shocks us ,
Current or voltage?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
The correct answer is current because when only current
flows in our body, the electrons also flow in our body and
they cause the red blood cells to puncture and damage the
plasma of our body. This causes shock and we loose our
feeling or sensation.Voltage or potential difference causes
the current flow but current gives us shock. It is known
that without voltage current can not flow.So voltage is the
source and current is the cause.

Its voltage or you can say a potential difference which
shocks us

Its voltage (potential difference) which shocks us any
person can touch or hold high current low voltage device
and dont feels any shock simple example the electric arc
welding, its potential difference which is responsible for
the flow of electric current thru the human body and cuases
a shock, if there is no potential difference no current
flow thru the human body

current because flow of electrons in your body (current)
can only produce shock.

we can touch the live wire carry low voltage that is 12v or
24 v without the fear of getting shock but we cannot touch
the live wire carry 180v or 230v (if we touch we will get &
we may also die)so voltage gives us shoch not current

We shock due to only Potential Difference not either of
Current or Voltage......................

Answer / vinod
Electric Shocks is because of current flow in our body
prepotional to the voltage and humen body resistance. ie.
current is the cause but voltage is driving the current
through the body depends on resistance of the body.

Dear Freinds,
Shocks is generated by VOLTAGE(Potential Difference).
If you touch Current injection trolly output, which have to
much higher current, nothing will happend. But if you touch
high voltage line.....think......clean bold..
but keep in mind that whatever the enjuries in body,it is
beacuse of current flow....
