Reason for Low voltage in houses are as under
1. High volatge require heavy insulation for all house hold
electrical appliances that cause more bulky and expensive
electrcal appliances.

2.If power is assumed to be same for both the cases than
high voltage system will not cater for heavy load as low
voltage system means less number of consumer can be
supplied with same power and may say that there will be
heavy power loss.
