Which is more basic among pyridiene and piperidene
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / chemistry master
The piperidine lone pair is sp3 hybridized. The pyridine
lone pair is sp2 hybridized. The piperidine lone pair is
therefore more available and more basic. Note: the pyridine
lone-pair is orthogonal to the aromatic ring and is not
"resonance stabilized".

Answer / aaa
piperidine pKaH = 11.24
pyridine pKaH = 5.21
piperidine is the stronger base. In a mixture of the two, piperidine will take 10^6.03 times more protons than pyridine.

aliphatic amines r more basic than the aromatic.but here d
availbility of free elctrons is almost same.but here we
justyfy d basicity by hybridisation only. in piperdine
carbon atoms are in sp3 form comming to py carbons are in
sp2 form so s% more it can pull electrons present on
nitrogen towards so d availbilityof electrons are decease
in py
so it is lessbasic than piperdine where s% is less pulling
of elctrons on nitrogen is less.so more basic

Piperidine more basic since lone pair on nitrogen is more
available compare with pyridine nitrogen. The lone pair of
nitrogen on pyridine is resonance stabilized with aromatic
ring hence it is not avialbe.

Answer / saumya
Piperidene is more basic due to the following facts :-
-Lone pair is fixed at the nitrogen atom.
-Inductive stabilisation of the cation occurs.
-No free rotation occurs.
-Lone pair is not obscured.
