there are so many differences between gc and hplc...
some are..
1. in gc carrier gas as nitrogen or helium and zero air are used and by increasing temperature sample will seperated.
here temperature is most important.
2.but, in hplc, pressure is most important. also there is no gas mobile phase... liquids are used as mobile phase. due to pressure sample goes to column and there separation happends.
name only indicates as hplc means High preassure liquid chromatography.
gc means..gas chromatography.//
