Answer / c siva ( kec )
The Concentration of current flow (AC) will be more in the
outer surface of the conductor and as it reaches center of
the conductor the flow will be less i.e. movement of free
electrons will be more in the outer surface. That is why we
use multistands in conductors.
( Skin effect will not be there in DC power supply)

skin effect means in a conductor flow of electrons will be
more in the outer surface than its middle.

The skin effect is the tendency of an alternating electric
current (AC) to distribute itself within a conductor so
that the current density near the surface of the conductor
is greater than that at its core. That is, the electric
current tends to flow at the "skin" of the conductor. The
skin effect causes the effective resistance of the
conductor to increase with the frequency of the current.
Skin effect is due to eddy currents set up by the AC
current.

the outer strand flux links external surface of the
cable, while internal mutual flux links both external &
internal surface of the cable thereby increasing the
inductance of the innner core of the cable which leads to
hindrance in flow of current in internal section of the
cable & hence concentration of current is higher on outer
surface called skin effect

the concentration of the ac current always flowing in the
around the surface of the conductor. thats why the cable
capacity will loose the strength due to flowing of longer
time in the cable.this phenomina is called skin effect

hi friends if you have any 400KV Substation Erection and installations Drgs please send to me.My email id:kandi.suresh441@gmail.com
Can u explain : what is supply for train (whether a,c or d.c ).I know that supply is 25000v a.c .But there is rumour that supply is D.C. And also explain how lights and fans inside the trains are working ,and what type of motors are used in trains whether D.C motors or induction motors .If d.c motor, how it gets supply. If traction motors are used then what are traction motors and its functions and how it differs from other motors and also explain about locomotive . y d.c series motor in train.train wheels r driven by D.C shunt motor ,at what voltage, and at what speed. please reply..............
