Answer / sachin
if wt of steel is to calcullated then
steel=(d*d)/162
if area of steel is to be calcullated then
Ast=((0.5fck*b*d)/fy)*((((4.6Mu*10^6)/fck*b*d*d)))

Answer / sankarji.ar
Example
Weight of 16 dia bar,per Kg/mtr
d:- 16
r:- 8
Area = πr2
=22/7*8*8
=201.14
=201.14*.00758
=1.524 Kg/mtr
By same way we can calculate different dia of bars...
------------------------------------------------------------
=(d*d)/162 its Thumb Rule.

When given question ft? then we use this formula
No of bars x total length x (suter)^2 / 24
then all answer divide to 2.204 it will give kg.s
example
room size 10 x 12
Step 1
total distance divided by .75 then + 1 (.75 is c/c distance)
it gives 14.333 say 15 No (same step as second dimension)
Step 2
(15 x 10 x (4)^2/24) then divide 2.204 = 45.37 kgs
where
4 mean 0.5 inch dia

Steel Weight calculation for 1 meter
D*D/162.162
D = Diameter of the bar
Example: 25 mm bar
(25*25)/162.162
3.854 Kg per meter
