As we know that Eddy current loss is directly praportional
to Frequency of supply voltage(For this please refer
B.L.Thereja)so eddy current loss of Transmission line will
increase which will again increase Transmission losses(I2R).

It is observed that AVR of an Alternator is more likely to fail if the Generator and Mains Neutral are directly connected to each other. Why should this be so?
