how to calculate the voltage drop in electrical cable while laying cables?..

Answer / raj kumar

First you have to collect the information such as cable laying in ground, air or duct like etc.then you have to see the cable catalogue. From that you have to take derating factor for that particular cable after that cable take reactance(Xl&R).
Use this formula-
Same our voltage drop formula only.first find out the impedence..
Z=square root of (Resistance square+inductive reactance square)
Where as,
Z-impedencs in ohms
Then,
Voltage drop=full load current×impedence
