Two shafts A and B are made of same material. The diameter of the shaft B is twice that of shaft A..

Answer / mathew alex

transmittimg power is proportional to d^3.....so ratio of
power will be...shaft B:shaft A = 8 :1

Two shafts A and B are made of same material. The diameter of the shaft B is twice that of shaft A..

Answer / saumya ranjan khuntia

As we know that Power(P) is directly propertional to:
(D^3)*N, so the ratio of power transmitted by shaft A to
shaft B is:
1/(2^3)= (1/8).

Two shafts A and B are made of same material. The diameter of the shaft B is twice that of shaft A..

Answer / suresh

T = (Shear Stress * Pi*d^3)/16
T directly proportional to d^3
T1: T2 = 1:8

Is This Answer Correct ?    7 Yes 1 No

Two shafts A and B are made of same material. The diameter of the shaft B is twice that of shaft A..

Answer / allu phanindra

p=t*w
where p is power
t is torque
w is angular velocity
we know that angular velocity is does not depends up on the diameter of the shaft therefore power is directly proportional
to only torque
t=f*r
where f is force and r is radius
from the above relation we can say that power is directly proportional to diameter
power transmitted by shaft B is twice as shaft A

Is This Answer Correct ?    6 Yes 9 No

Two shafts A and B are made of same material. The diameter of the shaft B is twice that of shaft A..

Answer / karthick

power transmitted by shaft B is greater than shaft A becoz
torque is proportional to diameter and power is
proportional to torque.

Is This Answer Correct ?    5 Yes 9 No
