The synchronous speed of a motor with 6 poles and operating
at 50 Hz frequency is ___.
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / p
Since we know Ns = (120xf)/p
Ns=synchronous speed in r.p.m.
f=supply frequency in Hz
p=no. of poles
so
Ns= (120x50)/6
Ns=6000/6
Ns=1000rpm

Answer / ananth haritsa
Speed(n)= 120 X F (Frequency in Hz) / P ( Pole )
If the frequency is 50 Hz and the poles are 4
There fore Speed = 120 X 50 / 4
= 1500 RPM ( Revolution Per Minutes)
