Turbogenerator is a synchronous generator and it can work in synchronous condenser mode also. When it is over excited, the generator will operate with leading powerfactor.

tg can operate in leading p.f mode when it is under excited
condition but it is not advisable beczuse stator ends get
over heated due to leakage flux.

I have a 3 phase 600 volt prim. feed and a 120/208 sec. Isolateing tranformer .We are using this system for safety against shock . What is the proper grounding ?? Does the common on sec. get earth ground ???
