All the machines we are using like transformer, DG's are
all in KVA becoze at that particular time we dont know the
consumer power factor as we know (Active power= apparent
power x power factor) KW= KVA x Cos phi, that is why we
have machine in KVA rather the KW

becouse alternatar have two type losses
1. iron losses
2. copper losses
so we find the iron losses in voltage & copper losses find
in amp that is why we take reating in KVA

As we know D.G. set i used to generate the Power . it
generate Active power & reactive power(Apperentus
Power=Active Power P+ j Reactive Power Q) and we consume
only active power(KW) that's why the DG rating is in KVA or
MVA, these are the unit of Aperantus Power

In DG, the armature has conductor loss (Ia). it give output
voltage with conductor loss. Tth electrical loss is in Amps
(I). So kilo volt +Ampere=KVA
