why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac

Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback

why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac..

Answer / kanth

dc is continuous flow of current so it doesnt leave our body
where as in ac current becomes to zero then goes to maximum
value

why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac..

Answer / vinay

DC is a Unidirectional current it is only magnitude but No
direction, But AC is Magnitude Direction changes
periodically. Ex; Ac supply goes peak of its maximum
voltage and again it comes to zero.

why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac..

Answer / chandini

DC is more dangerous than ac because DC is unidirectional
current which have magnitude and flows in one direction. But
AC changes its direction and magnitude periodically.AC goes
to maximum & comes to zero. Its wave form is sinosodialy.

why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac..

Answer / mohan

AC supply having positive half cycle & negative half
cycle,Where as DC don't have.

why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac..

Answer / dinesh kadam

Wether it is DC or AC Only value of current going through
body paralises the Muscles & burns the nerons in our Body.
If we campare this danger with Lunar Distance which is
356400kms for DC then danger because of the another one is
356000kms.
Do not consider that AC goes to Zero value, because the
reflex action of muscles is 0.15 to 0.30 sec & transmitting
reflexes through neuron is depending upon dynamic &
kinamatic signals through axons & neurons is 0.05 to 0.08
Sec. and AC reaches its zero value in 0.02 sec.
SO it make no difference.

why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac..

Answer / surendra kumar bairwa

AT THE SAME VOLTAGE ,DC IS NOT CHANGES W.R.T. TIME SO THE DC
IS DANGER &IN CASE OF AC CHANGES ALTERNATE W.R.T. TIME, IT
MEANS THE POLERITY OF CURR. +VE TO 0 -VE.SO AC GIVES SHOCK.

why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac..

Answer / a . k . mehta

For heart and lunga mustle the frequency of a.c . i.e.50hz.is extreme high and so respiration 'breathing stops causing death. While d.c does not have frequency and gives shock at very high voltage.

Is This Answer Correct ?    0 Yes 0 No

why electric shock due to dc is dangerous than that of ac..

Answer / ram

ac is more harm than dc because it has peak current of sqrt(2) times of dc(ie RMS) value. shock is due to current flow only .
