Reference currents (I_ref) are used in various control systems, such as vector control of AC motors. They can be generated by dividing the rated voltage (V) of the motor by the rated impedance (Z).nnI_ref = V / Z

Hi If connecting a temp generator 670KVA .415kv with step up Tx .415/11kv. I am given Generator impedances Z1 Z2 Z0 to 100MVA base. Do I need to work out the generator fault current by using these impedances i.e gen rating / impedance. Then use this as my source impedance for the calculations that follow.
