hi this is rajkumar...
as per my knowledge
the primary side current can be calculate as follows
for example
we have power transformer of 5MW transformer and the 33\11kv
the primary current is (5000kv/33kv)/1.732=87.47amps
the secondary current is (5000kv/11kv)/1.732=262.43amps
here 1.732 is square root of 3....

Girish,since the power is in MW,it means that we are looking
for current in consideration of power factor.If it were in
MVA,then the calculation given by Rajkumar is ideal.
5000kW=1.732*11*Ip*PF (assume pf =0.85)
5000=1.732*11*Ip*0.85
primary current Ip=308.7A
5000=1.732*.415*Is*0.85
Secondary currentIs=8,183.6A
Select cable capable from your table.If surface then
alluminum cable should be selected,if underground,suitable
hV cable should be selected to suit the primary and
secondary current carrying capacities respectively.

I = 5000/33*1.732
I = 57.5A (HT amps 33 kv side)
I = 5000/11*1.732
=262.5A(HT amps 11kv side)
