Just to correct Raj, Data Integration and ETL is NOT the
same thing. Data integration is the concept of passing data
to various systems from various systems. It also can cover
the data integration within the application itself.
ETL is the process of extracting data from various sources
and then transform it and then loading it into objects /
tables etc.
Data Integrator is a product of Business Objects now owned
by SAP.
