I think you are talking about the Fire hydrant system.If
that is the case, this system is used in the factories to
fight against fire accidents.Some amount of water is stored
ina tank and the water is used to fire fight with the help
of a motor which will pump water out in a greater force.The
system may be of Manual or Automatic.If u want more details

I think hydrant system is a pipe network in factory premises which can be use for protection in case of fire.
