what is the use of Antipumping in HT breakers...

Answer / k.ramesh,vepl

This Coil is used to avoid the continuous supply of the
breaker coil during faulty condition, once we are giving the
closing pulse during uncleared faults condition the breaker
will close one time only. After we are giving many more
closing pulse to the breaker, cannot perform that closing
operation with the help of anti pumping coil.

what is the use of Antipumping in HT breakers...

Answer / suresh kumar

Anti pumping relay is used to prevent closing coil from
being burnt by the repeated closing command. Closing coil
is not designed for continuous electrical operation and
once the closing coil is energised, breaker will get on and
it will be remain energised mechanically until any trip
command is available. So continuous supply is not required
for closing coil.

what is the use of Antipumping in HT breakers...

Answer / ahmed arafa _bapetco

Anti-pumping relay is used to avoid closing of the circuit
breaker when there is afaulty case , so the closing coil of
the circuit breaker can not be energised until the path is
healthy and the trip is not exist

what is the use of Antipumping in HT breakers...

Answer / lokesh thota

Pumping means if breaker is close & give close command (electrical or manual) to it,spring will discharge & charge again. To prevent this pumping anti pumping feature is required, which in turn will help to restrict unnecessary operations of breaker mechanisms.

what is the use of Antipumping in HT breakers...

Answer / nagesh.patwari

The function of Anti Pumping relay is to cut off the supply to CB closing coil in case of TNC switch spring failure and prevent CB hunting effect i.e. continuous closing, opening operation.
