Surge arrestor is high surge voltage protection device
which makes to protect our equipment from surge voltage as
natural lighting, high voltage(which flow for minorsecond).
As u know our protection devices are taken sometime to
operated his activites to save the equipment but in
condition of surge voltage which is flow for a mini second.
and the surge voltage is reached our equipment with same
time by damaged our equipment. In surge arrestor will flow
to the surge voltage to ground and tripped or melt the
weakest point of the circuit.

Surge arrester have a fixed value resistor. If any surge is
produced the resistor will conduct the voltage and passed
it into the ground. It has no range limit
