why voltage drop if we have connected 230 v ac suplly
through diode to bulbe we found haft ie 110 voltage drop
why it is

Answer / daher
the measuring tools is reads the RMS value or the average
value. the diode is unidirectional device or one way
direction,so yiu read only the half of 230v ac on the bulbe

first u have to know about diode function. the diode
conducts only half of the sinusoidal wave that's why
voltage will be half at the bulb.

Answer / ashish
As we know that diode is a unidirectional static device.
Hence it act for the half cycle of alternating current
