why the shape of an op-amp is chosen triangular in shape?
Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback
Answer / nithya.s
op amp is selected triangular in shape because it has two
terminals as inverting and noninverting and having only one
output common for both the terminal.if in case we also
provide an feedback if nessesary.if it is selected as any
other shape,it is not possible.

Answer / n.rajasekhar
nothing fancy there, just to show that it will unidirectional
gain.infact there are fully differential opamps(which can
have 2i/p and 2o/p),for this also triangler.

The tapering edge of the triangle shows the direction of the
current flow in the Op-Amp.

Answer / raj
its wrong, there are fully-differential opamps which has 2
inputs and 2outputs..still its shape is like triangle.
mainly that shape indicated its reverse transmission is less

Answer / farah
because in op-amp we hav 2 input&1 output, so the structure is like that.
correct me if am wrong.
