Answers were Sorted based on User's Feedback

from where u will get friction factor 'f' in darcy's formula?..

Answer / shams parwez

Hf=(4flv^2/d2g)

Is This Answer Correct ?    15 Yes 5 No

from where u will get friction factor 'f' in darcy's formula?..

Answer / karthik

for laminar flow f= 64/Re
for turbulent flow f is obtained from the moody diagram
using Re and the relative roughness of the pipe.
the relative roughness can be obtained by using the relation
relative roughness = absolute roughness/inside diameter of
the pipe.

Re means Reynolds number

Is This Answer Correct ?    11 Yes 2 No

from where u will get friction factor 'f' in darcy's formula?..

Answer / prince ali

Hf=(f'L V^2)/2gD
Where F' is the friction factor and
f'=4f,
where f= darcy coefficient

Is This Answer Correct ?    10 Yes 1 No

from where u will get friction factor 'f' in darcy's formula?..

Answer / suhel khan

since darcy's formula=4f'lv^2/2gd
here,f' is the coefficient of friction ,and friction factor
(f)=4f'.
value of f' can be obtained by following realtion,
for Re<2000,f'=16/RE
FOR Re VARYING FROM 4000-10^5,f'=0.079/Re^(1/4)
where Re=reynold's number

Is This Answer Correct ?    7 Yes 0 No
