What are some common isotopes of Actinium, and how do they differ in terms of stability and uses?..

Answer / Sudhakar Tripathi

There are several naturally occurring and synthetic isotopes of Actinium. The most stable isotope is Actinium-227, with a half-life of 21.8 years. This isotope is used in radioisotope thermoelectric generators for powering spacecraft due to its long half-life and high specific heat. Other isotopes include Actinium-225 (half-life of 10 days), which is used in targeted alpha-particle cancer therapy, and Actinium-228 (half-life of 6 hours), which decays to form Radium-224, another radioactive substance.
