What is the difference b/w macros and prompt?..

Answer / Priyanka Varshney

"Macros are predefined sequences of actions or commands in Cognos that can be used to automate repetitive tasks. They are triggered by specific events, such as report execution, data refresh, or user interaction. Prompts, on the other hand, allow users to input values during report execution, which are then used to filter or format the data displayed in the report."
