Binary-Coded Decimal (BCD) is a method of representing decimal numbers using 4 binary digits (bits). Each decimal digit (0-9) is represented by its corresponding 4-bit binary value. This coding scheme is used in digital systems to perform arithmetic operations on decimal numbers.
