Hooke's Coupling is a type of torsional damper used in mechanical systems to reduce the effects of vibration. It works on the principle that an applied torque will result in a proportional angular displacement. Its main use is to control or suppress unwanted vibrations in rotating machinery such as engines, pumps, and generators.
