If the earth is a good conductor of electricity, why don't people get shocked every time they walking on earth?
Answer / Mahesh Chandra
Although Earth is a good electrical conductor, humans are also excellent conductors and are connected to ground through our bodies. The resistance between us and the Earth (body resistance) is much higher than the Earth-ground resistance found in most situations. This high body resistance prevents a significant electric current from flowing through our bodies and causing a shock.
