Answer / surendra
FS cable is a Fire Survival cable. It will be manufactured according to BS-7846. It has high resistance to fire as compare with FRLS cables. Glass Mico Tape over the conductors during manufacturing in FS cable makes difference from FRLS. FS cables will be tested under 950 degrees for three hours whereas FRLS will be tested on flame for 60 seconds. Application of FS cables in Emergency Alarm and trip circuits. FRLS cables are used for Auxiliary supplies, status and normal input operation signals.
