cell tapping is done to avoid boost voltage to the load. boost voltage will be use only for charging the battery , as it is higher voltage it should not be applied to load , to avoid that 84th cell tapping is done .

How to decrease or increase the range of voltmeter? can an ammeter be used to measure voltage? can a wattmeter used as voltmeter and ammeter?
