what is the difference between switchgear and circuit breakers and is there any difference between outdoor and indoor switchgear and circuit breakers ,
and how would you differentiate between switch yard and substation and grid station .
thanks

Switchgear is a combination of various electrical equipment, such as circuit breakers, fuses, transformers, disconnect switches, and protective relays, used to control, protect, and isolate electrical circuits in an electric power system. Circuit breakers are a type of switchgear that can automatically interrupt current flow when a fault occurs.nOutdoor switchgear (OSG) is designed for installation outside buildings, while indoor switchgear (ISG) is designed for installation inside buildings.nCircuit breakers come in various types and sizes, such as air-break circuit breakers, oil-immersed circuit breakers, vacuum circuit breakers, and gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). The difference between these types lies in the insulating medium used and their applications.nA switchyard is an outdoor area where electrical transmission lines are connected to transformers for voltage transformation before being distributed to consumers. A substation is a facility that includes one or more transformers, circuit breakers, and other equipment used for switching and controlling the flow of electricity in an electric power network. A grid station (or generation station) is a facility where electricity is generated using various sources such as fossil fuels, nuclear energy, renewable energy, etc.n
