Why the finite element method is lower bound solution?..

Answer / Prashant Sirohi

The Finite Element Method (FEM) is not necessarily a lower bound solution. FEM is a numerical technique used to solve complex problems in engineering and physics by approximating solutions using discrete elements.nDepending on the formulation and boundary conditions, the solution obtained from FEM can be either an upper bound, lower bound, or exact solution. It's essential to understand the specific problem and appropriate formulations when applying FEM.
