1-5Vdc is not a standard, it is a widely used convention for 4-20mA current loops.

A 250 ohm resistor drops a 1-5 Vdc voltage proportional to the 4-20mA current.

DCS analog inputs historically used 250 ohms for 4-20mA analog input resistance and over time that value has become quite common.

But I have seen 1 ohm, 4.7 ohms, 10 ohms, 12 ohms, 24.9 ohms, 50 ohms, 62.5 ohms, and 100 ohm resistances for 4-20mA current input.

Hi at present i m wrking with tire industry as a manager having gud ctc. Nw I am selected for 1 of the best chemical industry but my ctc is lower than current n also i hv 2 compromize vit post as post is also lower. I hv 6 yrs of exp in various type of industry. Should i join chemical industry as there ar lot of gud instrument than tire? Financialy i can manage 4 more 2 yrs. Bt during wrking vit tire industry i found there is very less instrument n feel that opportunity is less. Pl ans quickly. I have less time to decide.

There are two chlorination tonners both are connected to two pressure swithes and the pressure switch is connected to SOV which operates the valve to changeover the tonner selection i.e if pressure one tonner goes low the other tonner should come in line if it is inautomatic selection design a circuit using relays ?
