Why is it not possible to operate a star-delta transformer
in parallel with delta-delta transformer?
Answer / sandeep
It is quite possible to operate two transformer in parallel, but condition is both must have same voltage. Here at one side of transformer there is voltage difference with the factor of (3)^1/3 and circulating current will flow at one side of the transformer leading to the increased ohmic losses and thereby efficiency decreases.
