Number of bars in 1.00 mt area
8 mm dia bar = 1/0.15 = 6.67
Say = 7 no's
weight of steel = 7*0.39 = 2.73 kg
For 10 mm steel number of bars in 1.00 mt area
No's = 8 mm dia steel weight / unit weight of 10 mm steel
= 2.73 /.62
no's = 4.4
Specing = area / no's bars
= 1/4 .4= 0.228
For 10 mm steel specing = 200 mm c/c

very simple
Note: d1^2/s1 = d2^2/s2
where, d1= dia of available Bar
s1= spacing b/w available
d2= dia of new bar
s2= spacing of new bar
in this case; d1= 8mm, s1=150mm, d2= 10mm &s2= ?
8^2/150 = 10^2/s1
s1=234.375 mm c/c = 230 mm c/c ANS
