an ac induction motor gets overheated when operated at a low
frequency of 25 hz a instead of 50 hz. reason?
Answer / gopal
A motor designed for line frequencies doesn't have the
inductance to limit current at 25 Hz. And the coupling to
the rotor is inefficient. Driven to provide reasonable
torque it will heat badly.
