what is skin effect?..

Answer / kalidass

This effect is in transmision line. Due to inductence of
the solid cable the all currents will go in outer side of
the cable (skin). To prevent this problem the transmission

what is skin effect?..

Answer / anand

In dc the current density is uniform all over the cable.....
but in ac the indutive relutance in the ineer part is
grater than the outer one,,,
because the inner part is link by outer and inner flux...
so current pass thrugh the surfce or skin....

in dc transmission distribution is unniform but in ac due
to inductive relutance it is greater in inner part n less
in outer part
