pf of synchronius motor is unity, is it axact(=one) value. ?..

It depends on condition in which you are operating it.

If you are operating it over excited and on no load condition then its power factor is greater than 1(this is used to used to improve power factor).

If it is operating in under excited condition then power factor is less than 1.(it will supply reactive power).
