we use zener diode in voltage regulators(stabilizers),clipping the input waveform and so on

zener diode is used in voltage regulator.It will behave like a forward baised & reversed baised both. At the certain value of volatage it will behave like a forward baised & reversed baised

in any ckt and power is increase more then the zener diode
is breakdown and short ckt is protacted.
