Both loop test and checking are same in practically.
simulate 4 to 20 through hart/bt/hht. OR transmitter itself.Smart transmitter also have the facility to simulate ma.

loop test mean hart communicator connect the transmitter
than simulate the MA 4MA to 20MA transmitter to DCS system

what are use for loop check

Loop verify the tag number transmitter to DCS system
verify the range the data sheet range transmitter to DCS system
