for capacitors: CURRENT leads VOLTAGE.CURRENT varries the VOLTAGE and used in electrostatic field.
for inductors : VOLTAGE leads CURRENT and used in magnetic field.

in capacitor current leads and voltage lag and it used in
electric field.
but in inductor voltage leads the current and used in
magnetic field.
hence we used capacitor when we wants to lead the current
and inuctor when we wants to lag the current.
